Editorial Policy

What this site is

iquitnow.life is the editorial site of iQuit, a free quit-smoking app. The articles here exist to help people stop smoking and stay stopped. They are written for readers, not for search engines, and they are not medical advice. If you have a health condition, are pregnant, or take medication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before changing how you use nicotine products.

How articles are produced

Every guide starts from a question people actually ask about quitting. An editor on the iQuit editorial team drafts it from primary sources, then checks every figure, date and claim against the source before publication. Articles that make health claims cite the body that published the evidence. We prefer, in this order: Cochrane systematic reviews, national public-health agencies (CDC, NHS, WHO, Santé publique France), peer-reviewed journals, and published clinical guidelines. Blog posts, forums and product marketing are not used as sources for health claims.

What we do not publish

  • Statistics without a named, linked source.
  • Claims that any product, including iQuit, cures nicotine addiction or guarantees a result.
  • Medical dosing advice for nicotine replacement or prescription medication beyond what the manufacturer or regulator states.
  • Content copied or spun from other sites.

Use of AI tools

Our editors use AI writing tools to draft and restructure text. Every published article is reviewed by a human editor, who is responsible for the accuracy of the facts and the sources. AI tools are never the source of a health claim.

Updates and corrections

Guides that reference prices, laws, product features or statistics are reviewed when the underlying source changes and at least once a year. The published and updated dates appear on every article. If you find an error, write to the editorial team through the contact details on the About page. Corrections are made in the article and noted at the end of it.

Advertising and independence

iquitnow.life is funded by the iQuit app and carries no third-party advertising. Articles may mention iQuit where it is relevant to the topic. Comparisons of quit-smoking apps and methods include competitors and are based on published features and evidence, not on commercial relationships. We have no affiliate agreements with nicotine replacement or pharmaceutical brands.
